Location: Kigali, Rwanda (Prime Economic Zone)

Contract Type: Full-Time (46 hours/week, 1-year project timeline)

Industry: Textile / Garment Manufacturing

Gross Salary Range: USD 500 – USD 800 per month (payable in RWF equivalent, depending on experience)

About Us:

We are an international textile manufacturing company establishing a state-of-the-art production facility in Kigali’s Prime Economic Zone. Our core management team consists of four international experts (from Europe and Asia) who speak English. To ensure a smooth setup and integration into the local community, we are seeking a highly motivated, bilingual professional to join our team from day one.

Role Overview:

This is a unique, hybrid role. You will spend 2 hours per day conducting structured, professional Kinyarwanda language classes for our 4-member expat management team. The remaining 6 hours per day will be dedicated to project assistance, administrative support, and helping bridge the communication gap between management, local authorities, and the construction/factory staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Language Training (12 hours/week): Design and deliver a tailored Kinyarwanda language course for beginners. Focus on daily conversational skills and industry-specific vocabulary (textile, manufacturing, safety, HR).

Project & Administrative Assistance: Assist the Project Team with local procurement, administrative tasks, and coordinating with local suppliers or authorities like RRA, RDB, FDA.

On-Site Translation & Cultural Liaison: Act as a translator during factory setup, machinery installation, and hiring phases. Help the international team understand local cultural and business etiquettes.

Logistical Support: Run operational errands related to the factory setup within the Special Economic Zone and wider Kigali.

Required Profile & Qualifications:

Language Mastery: Native Kinyarwanda speaker with excellent, fluent English skills (both written and spoken).

Teaching Experience: Proven track record in teaching Kinyarwanda as a foreign language or working as a professional translator/interpreter. A degree in Linguistics, Education, or Business Administration is a strong plus.

Industry Familiarity: Basic understanding of or previous experience in the manufacturing, construction, or textile sector is highly desirable.

Soft Skills: High reliability, hands-on mentality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Mobility: Knowledge of Kigali’s administrative landscape; a valid driving license is an advantage.

What We Offer:

A highly competitive salary well above the local market average for administrative roles.

A stable, 1-year contract (extendable up to 3 Years) with an international growing company.

A dynamic and respectful multicultural working environment.

Workplace located in the modern Prime Economic Zone.

How to Apply:

Please send your CV and a short cover letter in English outlining your language teaching experience and your motivation to work in the manufacturing sector to [ Acc-m.hz@sharmail.biz].
