KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect cargo identity, piece count, labels, packaging and physical condition at acceptance. storage and dispatch.
Take and record required cargo temperatures using approved calibrated equipment; escalate temperature excursions.
Check build-up stability, contour, interlocking, strapping or netting, segregation, labels and visible ULD serviceability.
Maintain inspection records traceable to the relevant AWB, shipment or ULD, and hand over pending checks and cargo holds.
Record and promptly escalate quality deviations to the Quality Officer and Operations Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma or certificate in Quality Assurance, Aviation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Food Science, Operations or a related area.
Relevant cargo, cold-chain, warehouse or quality inspection experience.
Working knowledge of cargo handling. temperature control, ULD handling and quality requirements.
Perishable Cargo Regulations, HACCP, AVSEC, ULD handling or Safety training is an advantage: strong integrity, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
