Retail Sales & Customer Service Associates

Key Responsibilities

Retail Management

Open, close, and manage daily shop operations according to company standards.

Ensure the shop is clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing at all times.

Monitor product availability and promptly report low stock levels.

Support inventory checks, stock receiving, product transfers, and stock reconciliation.

Maintain accurate records of daily sales, customer feedback, and shop activities.

Ensure product displays, testers, pricing, and promotional materials are properly arranged.

Sales

Welcome customers warmly and provide helpful product recommendations.

Explain product benefits, ingredients, routines, and usage clearly and confidently.

Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Upsell and cross-sell products based on customer needs and routines.

Support in-store promotions, product launches, campaigns, and customer activations.

Process customer purchases accurately using POS or approved sales systems.

Customer Relationship Management

Build strong relationships with new and returning customers.

Follow up with customers where needed to encourage repeat purchases.

Collect customer feedback and share insights with the Sales Manager.

Handle customer questions, complaints, and product concerns professionally.

Maintain a customer database or contact list where required.

Encourage customer loyalty, referrals, and positive word-of-mouth for the brand.

Brand Representation

Represent NAYA by Africa professionally, with warmth and strong product knowledge, in the shop and at marketing and sales events.

Communicate the brand story, ingredient heritage, and product value with confidence.

Maintain high standards of personal presentation and customer service.

Support social media or content requests when needed.

Qualifications & Experience

This is an entry-level role for recent graduates looking to learn sales, customer experience, marketing, or retail management.

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3 years of retail sales experience

Degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Retail Management, Communications, or a related field.

Previous experience in retail sales, beauty, skincare, cosmetics, wellness, or customer service preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Confident selling skills with the ability to meet targets.

Basic computer literacy and experience using POS systems

Good attention to detail and ability to manage stock accurately.

Must be reliable, organized, and customer-focused.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on retail role based in a NAYA by Africa shop.

The Sales Associate will interact with customers daily, support shop operations, and work closely with the Sales Manager and wider NAYA team to grow sales and strengthen customer loyalty.

The Sales Associate will work 5 days a week, including weekends and holidays, from 8:30 am to 8 pm, based on a monthly schedule.

Our products include Shower Gels, Bar Soaps, Body Oils, Shea Butter Creams, Face Oils and Scrubs. We have 2 retail shops at A&C Mall in East Legon and Marina Mall, Airport City.
