Job Summary
The Retail Supervisor is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding retail coverage, and ensuring effective execution of itel Accessories’ sales and merchandising strategies across assigned markets.
The role works closely with Sales Representatives (SRs), retailers, distributors, and promoters to increase product visibility, improve stock availability, strengthen retailer relationships, and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales of itel accessories across assigned retail outlets and markets to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Work closely with Sales Representatives to develop and execute sales plans, identify growth opportunities, and improve sales performance.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and take corrective action where targets are not being met.
Identify opportunities to increase sales of fast-moving accessories, including chargers, earphones, power banks, cables, and other itel accessory products.
Supervise and support Sales Representatives in executing daily market activities and achieving assigned targets.
Conduct regular joint market visits with Sales Representatives to assess outlet performance, identify sales opportunities, and strengthen retailer relationships.
Ensure Sales Representatives maintain accurate sales records, market reports, and customer feedback.
Provide guidance and coaching to Sales Representatives to improve selling skills, market coverage, and customer engagement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and key accounts.
Identify and onboard new retail outlets to expand market coverage and distribution.
Follow up on retailer orders, stock replenishment, and outstanding sales opportunities.
Address retailer concerns and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate department.
Ensure itel accessories are properly displayed, priced, and visible across assigned outlets.
Monitor stock levels across assigned outlets and identify stock gaps or slow-moving products.
Coordinate with Sales Representatives and the Channel team to ensure timely replenishment.
Track stock movement and provide accurate inventory updates to support demand planning.
Minimize lost sales resulting from stockouts and ensure proper handling of company products.
Submit regular sales, market coverage, stock, and competitor activity reports.
Track sales performance against targets and provide actionable recommendations.
Communicate relevant market insights to the Retail, Channel, and Sales teams.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
4–7 years’ experience in retail sales, field sales, or sales supervision, preferably in mobile accessories or consumer electronics.
Proven experience supervising Sales Representatives and managing retail accounts.
Strong understanding of retail distribution, merchandising, and sales execution.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong sales leadership and team supervision skills.
Excellent negotiation and retailer relationship management.
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
Effective communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in the field, travel within assigned markets, and deliver results under pressure.
Minimum qualifications
