TAX CONSULTANT

We are seeking a Tax Consultant (TC) who will provide tax advice and support to our clients, i.e. individuals, businesses, and organizations on various tax issues to ensure they comply with applicable tax laws and regulations. The TC will prepare and file tax returns, research tax laws, advise on tax planning, and represent clients in disputes with the tax authorities. The TC will also answer client questions, help them prepare for future tax situations, and analyse information to ensure compliance with the applicable tax laws and regulations. The TC will report to the Partner in-charge of Tax Advisory Services.

Duties and Responsibilities of the TC:

· Discussing with clients their financial information and taxable income during meetings.

· Determining any possible deductions to which a client may be eligible.

· Researching and remaining current on changes in tax laws and identifying opportunities to minimize tax liability.

· Collaborating with clients to develop strategies to reduce tax liabilities.

· Communicating with clients to clarify tax-related issues and concerns.

· Preparing tax returns for individuals, organizations, and businesses using significant knowledge of tax rules and regulations.

· Filing individual and corporate tax returns and advising clients on the best way to manage the tax liability.

· Ensuring that clients comply with their tax responsibilities.

· Using adequate strategies to minimize taxation by identifying areas where clients can reduce tax payments and taking advantage of tax deductions and credits.

· Helping with complex tax issues, such as transfer pricing and capital gains tax, etc.

· Providing advice on tax planning to minimize tax liabilities for clients.

· Providing guidance on important life events and their tax implications, like inheritance, marriage, divorce, and childbirth.

· Determining how much clients owe in taxes and how much clients have overpaid in taxes by using MS Excel or any other software to calculate the correct amounts.

· Gathering relevant financials and tax information from clients through interview Information such as clients' taxable income, allowances, and deductible expenses.

· Representing clients during tax audits to ensure the tax return is accurate to minimize tax assessments and overall tax liability.

Requirements:

· B. Com/BSC/BA in Accounting and Finance, Business, and other related fields.

· Certified Public Accountant (CPAK)/ACCA.

· At least three (3) years work experience as a Tax consultant or similar role.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, and the capacity to clearly explain complex details to a variety of teams.

· Possess the ability to operate complex database systems

· Must possess financial management and analysis skills.

· Knowledge of applicable tax laws is essential.
