Key Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare periodic financial statements, management accounts and supporting schedules.
Coordinate budget preparation, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
Review general ledger accounts, reconciliations and accounting schedules.
Monitor cash flows, expenditure and budget performance and report significant variances.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory obligations.
Coordinate internal and external audit activities and respond to audit queries.
Advise Management on financial performance, internal controls and financial risks.
Support the effective operation and continuous improvement of the Company's financial management systems.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Be a Kenyan Citizen
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from a recognized institution.
Must possess relevant professional qualification: CPA (K)
Active member in good standing of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or relevant recognized professional body
At least three (3) years of relevant experience at Officer II grade or in a comparable position in the public or private sector.
Knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, accounting systems, audit coordination and public-sector financial management requirements.
Meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
