Duties & Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing, inspection, and maintenance of tractors.
Diagnose mechanical faults and undertake repairs on tractor engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, braking systems, and electrical components.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize tractor breakdowns and downtime.
Identify defective parts and recommend replacements where necessary.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment.
Qualifications
A Government Grade Test, or Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering qualification.
Proven experience in tractor maintenance and repair, preferably in the agricultural industry.
Practical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmission systems, and electrical systems.
Strong fault-diagnosis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet maintenance schedules.
High levels of integrity, discipline, and commitment to safety.
Observe safety regulations and company transport policies at all times.
