Qualifications and Core Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field from a recognized institution.
CPA(K) qualification and ICPAK membership in good standing.
At least five (5) years of relevant post-qualification accounting experience.
Practical experience using accounting/ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong accounting, reconciliation and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Posting all accounting transactions in the ERP system accurately and promptly.
Preparing and processing payments, ensuring proper authorization and supporting documentation.
Managing petty cash, including disbursements, replenishments and reconciliations.
Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding reconciling items.
Reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable and other ledger accounts.
Processing student fee invoices, receipts and account reconciliations.
Assisting in preparing financial statements and other financial reports.
Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
