Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage all financial operations of the hotel. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with accounting standards within the hospitality sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations: accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation
Prepare financial statements, monthly closing reports, budgets, and forecasts
Monitor hotel revenue, expenses, inventory, and payroll
Oversee F&B costing, stock taking, and wastage control
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and hotel financial policies
Handle cash flow management and liaise with external auditors
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software
Provide financial advice to management for operational efficiency
Requirements:
B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage
2-4 years proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a hotel/hospitality firm
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Hotel PMS)
Strong knowledge of hospitality costing and inventory control
High integrity, accuracy, and excellent analytical skills
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Lagos
Minimum qualifications
BA/BSc/HND , Professional Certificate
