Assurance Staff/Assistant

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Duration: Six Months

Job Purpose

As an Assurance Staff/Assistant on a six-month fixed-term contract, you will work on audit engagements across a range of industry sectors in which EY is recognised as a market leader. These include financial services, energy and utilities, oil and gas, mining and metals, telecommunications, industrial products, automotive, retail and consumer products, and real estate.

Your Client Responsibilities

Work as part of an engagement team and interact professionally with clients.

Collect and analyze the data and information required for audit engagements.

Perform substantive audit testing and document the work completed.

Prepare and maintain accurate, complete and high-quality working papers.

Your People Responsibilities

Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Work constructively and collaboratively with team members.

Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and clients.

Qualifications And Experience

A first degree from a recognized tertiary institution, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.

A minimum of a Second-Class Upper degree or its equivalent.

A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in Audit or Assurance, preferably within a professional services environment.

Associate membership of ACCA, ICAG or another recognized professional accounting body.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in French will be an added advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
