AIET Africa™ invites applications from accomplished technology leaders to establish and lead its Technology, AI & Enterprise Transformation Commercialization Department.
The department will provide complete technology engineering and lifecycle services to AIET Africa, affiliated companies, and external commercial clients.
Its immediate portfolio includes six existing digital operating systems spanning education, ethical finance, commerce, payments, mineral trade, and investment facilitation.
The Mandate
The successful candidate will take professional ownership of the technical delivery function, assess and operationalize existing applications, build the engineering team, establish secure production infrastructure and develop a commercially competitive enterprise technology services business.
Core Responsibilities
Lead engineering takeover, architecture assessment and technical remediation.
Establish secure development, testing, deployment and production operations.
Lead enterprise software, AI solutions, systems integration and managed services.
Recruit and manage engineers, technical specialists and delivery personnel.
Develop technical proposals, service offerings and commercial delivery standards.
Establish operational resilience, cybersecurity controls, monitoring and incident management.
Support AIET Africa's executive education, research and enterprise advisory practices.
Required Experience
Substantial production software engineering experience, strong technical leadership and demonstrable competence in modern web architectures, backend engineering, PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, APIs, application security and DevSecOps.
Experience with AI-assisted software development and enterprise AI solutions is highly desirable.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to take incomplete or prototype applications into secure, dependable production.
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will complete an architecture and production-readiness assessment and present a 90-day technical mobilisation strategy.
