About the Opportunity
A diversified group of technology-driven enterprises is recruiting an accomplished engineering leader to take ownership of a portfolio of six innovative digital operating systems spanning financial technology, education, commerce, lifestyle services, mineral trade and investment facilitation.
The platforms have been developed through modern AI-assisted software engineering environments, including Google AI Studio, and are entering a critical phase of technical consolidation, production engineering, deployment and commercial operationalisation.
We seek an exceptional technology professional who can transform existing software assets into secure, scalable, reliable and commercially operational platforms.
The Role
The successful candidate will lead the complete engineering transition from existing development environments to production, establish a multidisciplinary technology team and assume responsibility for architecture, infrastructure, security, deployment, technical operations and continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive technical audits of existing applications and codebases.
Recover, validate and strengthen frontend, backend, database and integration architecture.
Establish secure production infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and disaster recovery.
Lead full-stack, backend, DevSecOps, QA and integration engineers.
Implement enterprise-grade security, authentication, authorisation and data integrity controls.
Supervise payment, financial transaction and external API integrations.
Establish release certification, incident response and continuous operational management.
Work directly with executive leadership to translate product strategies into operational technology businesses.
Candidate Profile
10+ years of substantial software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
Strong hands-on proficiency in React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, APIs and cloud infrastructure.
Proven experience leading complex software systems from development to live production.
Demonstrated ability to assess, repair and professionalise unfamiliar or AI-generated codebases.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity, DevSecOps, scalable architecture and transactional systems.
Experience managing engineering teams and technical delivery across multiple products.
Fintech, payment systems or regulated technology experience is highly advantageous.
