KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Define and execute the multi-market distribution strategy, targets and scalable operating model for merchant, agent and aggregator network growth.
•Direct the corporate merchant, aggregator and individual agent/merchant portfolios through their respective managers, prioritising expansion across target markets and segments.
•Approve or recommend commercial terms, incentives and channel investments, and monitor network economics, productivity, retention and transaction performance.
•Ensure effective onboarding and service delivery by collaborating with Commercial Operations, Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance and POS Distribution on required tools and device availability.
•Manage senior partner relationships, governance, compliance and executive reporting, while leading and developing the three channel managers.
Qualification Required & Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or a related field; an MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is advantageous.
•Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience, including at least 7 years in merchant acquiring, agent banking or network management.
•At least 5 years’ experience leading multi-market teams or commercial portfolios.
•Proven success building and scaling merchant, agent, retail or payment-acceptance networks.
•Strong commercial judgement and experience in channel economics, strategic partnerships, negotiations and performance management.
•Excellent leadership, executive communication, data interpretation and cross-functional influence skills.
•Deep understanding of digital payments, merchant acquiring, agent models and relevant regulatory controls, with willingness to travel.
