Marketing Manager – Solar Energy

Our client, a growing renewable energy company based in Zanzibar, is seeking to hire an experienced

Marketing Manager

to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that promote solar energy solutions across residential, commercial, and tourism sectors.

The role involves building strong brand visibility, generating leads, and educating the market on the benefits of solar power. The ideal candidate will have experience marketing energy or renewable energy products, strong digital and field marketing capabilities, and the ability to engage directly with business owners and decision-makers.

Key

Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify customer needs, target audiences, and market opportunities while analysing competitor activity and renewable energy trends.

Develop and implement marketing strategies that strengthen brand visibility and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

Plan and manage digital marketing campaigns including social media, SEO, online advertising, and website management.

Create engaging marketing content such as articles, blogs, videos, and social media posts that promote solar energy solutions.

Develop and update marketing materials including brochures, banners, flyers, presentations, and company documentation while coordinating promotional content with photographers and videographers.

Support sales efforts through lead generation, marketing campaigns, and client presentations, including direct engagement with business owners, developers, and hospitality clients.

Organise and participate in marketing events, exhibitions, and community initiatives to promote solar energy awareness and build industry relationships.

Develop offline marketing initiatives such as solar demonstrations, promotional events, and mobile solar showcase concepts.

Tailor marketing strategies to the Zanzibar market by addressing local energy challenges, cultural considerations, and the benefits of solar energy.

Ensure marketing activities comply with local regulations while adapting strategies to infrastructure limitations and focusing on opportunities within the tourism sector.

Key

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related field.

Marketing experience in the energy, renewable energy, or solar sector.

Strong understanding of solar energy systems including on-grid, off-grid, hybrid systems, solar water heating, and e-mobility solutions.

Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, SEO, website management, content creation, marketing materials development, and organising marketing events or product demonstrations.

Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage business owners, developers, and decision-makers.

Creative thinking combined with strong analytical and market research abilities.

Cultural awareness and adaptability when working within diverse communities.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
