Operations Analyst

Role Description

The Operations Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in the Accra, Ghana. This role is responsible for supporting daily investment operations including portfolio valuation, scheme reporting, trade execution, portfolio reporting, systems and data management, performance reporting, collaborating with finance units, timely response to client enquiries, timely resolution of operational issue and continuously improving work efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate investment transactions, execution, settlement and reconciliation across pension funds,

managed funds, collective investment schemes and other portfolios.

• Monitor portfolio positions, cash balances, asset allocations, investment maturities and counterparty

exposures.

• Perform fund valuation, NAV calculations, portfolio performance monitoring and investment reporting.

• Prepare accurate portfolio reports, management information and client reporting packs.

• Monitor compliance with investment mandates, asset allocation limits, internal controls and applicable

regulatory requirements.

• Liaise with custodians, brokers, banks, issuers, clients and other counterparties to resolve investment and

operational issues.

• Maintain accurate investment records, transaction documentation and reporting schedules.

• Use data analytics to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and generate insights for decision-

making.

• Support the effective use of fund management, ERP and CRM systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Investment Management or a

related discipline.

Must be GISI/CISI-certified

•

Other professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CIMA or will be an advantage.

•

3–5 years’ experience in fund management, investment operations, portfolio administration or a related

role within an asset management firm, pension fund or trustee, investment bank or other financial

institution.

• Practical knowledge of fixed-income securities, equities, money market instruments, collective investment

schemes and other investment products.

• Experience in fund valuation, portfolio valuation, NAV calculation, performance monitoring and reporting,

portfolio reconciliation, Microsoft Excel, fund management systems, and data analytics.

• Hands-on experience in investment transaction processing, settlement, reconciliations, and counterparty

exposure monitoring.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, fund management systems, ERP systems and CRM platforms.

• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, organizational and reporting skills, with exceptional accuracy and

attention to detail.
