Purpose
A leading resort in Athi River with over 70 executive villas is looking to fill a manager role.
The Purchasing Manager will manage and source quality goods and services at the best value and keep the resort well stocked.
Job Description
Key responsibilities
Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers; maintain an approved supplier list.
Process purchase requisitions and orders in line with approved budgets and authority limits.
Receive goods, check quality and quantity, and reconcile with invoices.
Coordinate with stores and departments to manage stock levels and avoid shortages and waste.
Track prices, savings and supplier performance.
Report on purchasing spend and stock to the General Manager.
Qualifications and experience
Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business; CIPS/KISM an advantage.
3+ years in purchasing, preferably in hospitality.
Strong negotiation, numeracy and record-keeping skills; high integrity.
Terms
3 month's probationary period
2 years renewable contracts subject to satisfactory performance
Housing and food will be provided.

BA/BSc/HND , Diploma
