Role Purpose
Drive insurance sales and portfolio growth, supervise the assurance team, and ensure efficient policy administration, regulatory compliance and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales, commission income and client retention targets.
Identify members’ insurance needs, recommend suitable solutions and promote insurance
uptake across SACCO branches and service channels.
Supervise and coach assurance staff and agents to achieve agreed targets.
Oversee policy applications, renewals, premium collection and records management.
Coordinate claims documentation and follow up with insurers for timely resolution.
Manage relationships with underwriters and other partners, and resolve escalated customer complaints.
Monitor premiums and commissions, reconcile records and prepare performance reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable insurance requirements, internal policies and customer data confidentiality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance from the College of Insurance is mandatory.
At least three years’ relevant experience in insurance sales, business development or agency operations.
A Diploma in Insurance will be an added advantage.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BSc/HND , Diploma
