KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Warmly welcome patients and visitors, provide information, directions, and offer support, particularly to anxious individuals.
Ensure an efficient flow of patients through the department by coordinating check-ins and check-outs and notifying clinical staff of patient arrivals.
Book, schedule, and reschedule patient appointments and procedures. using the relevant hospital systems.
Register new patients and verify/update existing demographic and insurance information in the Electronic Patient Records (EPR) or patient administration systems.
Strictly adhere to data protection and confidentiality policies when handling: sensitive patient information.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in a business related course.
A minimum of two years of working experience in a similar role, preferably within a busy hospital or healthcare front office/reception.
Familiarity with Medical terminology. Knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures is often preffered.
Experience with Healthcare Software: Basic proficiency in handling hospital management systems or electronic health record systems (eg HMIS, Medisoft, or Health Information Systems).
